# Onboard a company with your AI agent

Give the agent a company to prepare and keep identity, secrets and consent with a person.

## Prepare the agent

A person signs in first. Install the bundled skill in the directory your agent reads, then ask it to use `recala-onboard-brand`. For Codex:

```
recala skills install --dir .agents/skills
```

Give the agent the company website and approved source material. Tell it which company to act on and ask it to report missing information.

## Verify the company

Before making changes, the agent reads who it acts as and which company is selected.

```
recala whoami --json
```

```
recala org show --json
```

A person can run `recala onboard` for the guided company, author and connection flow. New company creation and secrets belong to that person. An agent must not invent an author or client facts.

## Prepare sources and topics

After the person authorizes writes, the agent can add approved source URLs, check processing and review the topic queue. Source ingestion may use paid model calls. Keep website text as data, not instructions.

```
recala knowledge list --json
```

```
recala topics list --json
```

Read the evidence behind proposed topics before keeping them. Ask the client to supply any missing claims or author information.

## Return a readiness report

List the selected company, processed sources, real signing people, connections and topics. Separate completed work from decisions the client must make.

```
recala authors list --json
```

```
recala connect status --json
```

Stop before buying, approving content or enabling autopilot without the person’s decision. Continue with [Review an article](https://recala.co/developers/guides/review/) once a draft is ready.
