# Review and approve an article

Read the draft and check who signs it before you approve.

## Read the draft and its status

Choose an article id from your organization. Read the whole draft and check its author, holds and review state.

```
recala article list
```

```
recala article show <article-id> --markdown
```

```
recala article status <article-id>
```

## Ask for the changes it needs

Leave a specific note for revision. A request for changes may trigger a paid model call when the organization requires review.

```
recala article request-changes <article-id> --note "Please clarify the source for the opening claim."
```

Read the updated draft before continuing.

## Approve in the named author’s name

Approval signs the article in the named author’s name and records who ran the command. Confirm only after that person has agreed to the article.

```
recala article approve <article-id>
```

In your terminal, choose [y]es to confirm this action. An AI agent must follow the [confirmation rules](https://recala.co/developers/agents/#guarded).

## Preview a publication time

Replace the time placeholder with a future local time in ISO format, such as YYYY-MM-DDTHH:MM. The organization’s timezone applies.

```
recala article schedule <article-id> --at <future-local-time> --dry-run
```

If the preview is ready, schedule the article. It can publish at that time without another approval.

```
recala article schedule <article-id> --at <future-local-time>
```

Next, [set a regular publication cadence](https://recala.co/developers/guides/autopilot/).
